Housed in a 1906 neo-Gothic building in the heart of the city center, this is one of the most beautiful and spectacular bookstores you will see in the world. It is also known for being the source of inspiration for J.K. Rowling, writer of the successful Harry Potter saga. What you will find when you walk through the door of the most beautiful bookstore in the world will not leave you indifferent. Plaster bookcases that mimic carved wood and an impressive staircase in the center of the red-colored library that winds and forks its way up to the second floor. On the ceiling, a stained glass window in shades of blue fills the entire library with light.

THE CREEK



Declared a World Heritage Site, you can stroll through Ribeira, one of the best experiences in Porto. It is one of the best known and most frequented places in the city, thanks to its colorful facades and charming terraces.

CHURCH AND TOWER OF THE CLERICS



Built between 1730 and 1750 in its own Baroque style, this is another place not to be missed in Porto. It is a monumental complex, built by the brotherhood of the Poor Clerics in the old part of the city.
The church tower is 76 meters high, which makes it the best viewpoint of the historic center and serves as a reference point not to get lost in the city. As you climb the tower, you will find 49 bells that form a large concert carillon. It is worth climbing all the steps to get the best views of the city.

SÃO BENTO STATION



Without a doubt, the San Bento Station, one of the essential places to visit in Porto, cannot be missed. It was built in the early 9th century on the remains of an ancient convent. The station has a spectacular room with more than 20,000 tiles showing the history of the country.
An impressive work represented in white and blue, they show the different episodes of the city's history, you can contemplate rural scenes, epic battles, landings and coronations. At the ends of the roofs, you can see a white covering with reliefs where the two most important rivers in the area are written.

On the other side of the Dom Luis I bridge, you will find all the wineries in Vila Nova de Gaia. You can take a walk along the river bank with fantastic views of the colorful facades. This area is also known for all the wine weddings with the appellation of origin Port Wine.
One of the most typical points of this tour are the so-called "rabelos", small wooden boats that were originally built to transport barrels of wine, which nowadays decorate the Douro River.
